- Description:
The local anaesthetic Cinchocaine relieves pain and relaxes sphincteric spasm. Pruritis and inflammation are relieved by Hydrocortisone which also decreases serous discharge.
Each gram of this medicine contains: Hydrocortisone acetas 2, 79, Framicycetinum 5mg, Esculocidum 10mg, and Escipiens.
- Contraindications and cautions:
This medication should not be used by anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients of this medication. Proctosedyl must not be used in the presence of tuberculosis, fungal and viral infections.
- Indication:
It is a very suitable medicine for anal itch and piles (haemorrhoids).
- Method of application:
1 suppository morning and evening and after each bowel movement.
- Special precautions:
Proctosedyl is not recommended in patients with arterial hypertension and cardiac insufficiency. This medicine should not be used for longer than seven days at a time.
- Notes:
Proctosedyl is available as suppositories N12.
- Side effects:
Proctosedyl is generally well tolerated. The patients may experience burning upon application, especially if the mucous membrane is not intact.
